Veterans Program

Supporting Those Who Served

At Ease Caregivers LLC is honored to serve the brave men and women who have served our country. Through our Veterans Home Care Program, we help eligible veterans and their surviving spouses access additional financial assistance through the VA Aid and Attendance and Housebound Allowance benefits. These programs offer monthly payments—on top of the standard VA pension—to support those who require help with daily living or are largely confined to their homes due to age or disability.

Whether you’re seeking in-home care for yourself or a loved one, our team will guide you through the application process and ensure you receive the care and benefits you deserve.

Eligibility Requirements for Aid and Attendance (A&A)

To qualify for the Aid and Attendance benefit, you must first be eligible for and receiving a VA pension, and meet at least one of the following conditions:

  1. You require help from another person to perform daily activities, such as bathing, feeding, dressing, or toileting.

  2. You are bedridden, meaning you must stay in bed (or spend a large portion of the day in bed) due to illness or disability.

  3. You are a patient in a nursing home due to physical or mental incapacity, including Alzheimer’s or dementia.

  4. Your eyesight is severely limited, even with corrective lenses:

    • 5/200 visual acuity or less in both eyes, OR

    • A visual field of 5 degrees or less.

Eligibility Requirements for Housebound Allowance

You may be eligible for the Housebound benefit if:

  1. You are substantially confined to your home (your own residence or a care facility) because of a permanent disability.

  2. You are already receiving a VA pension.

Important Notes

  • You cannot receive both Aid and Attendance and Housebound benefits at the same time.

  • These benefits are added to your VA pension, not available as standalone compensation.

  • Eligibility is also subject to income and asset limits, which the VA reviews as part of your pension application.
